Linux-native games won't start on a specific SSD

Hello, I’m quite new to Linux and I’m loving Bazzite so far.

However, I’ve started to have a weird problem after running the System Update program, because whenever I try to boot up Linux-native games like Half-Life 1 or 2, they simply won’t start despite working fine previously. There are no error messages either when I try to boot them up, the “Play” button turns into the “Stop” button on Steam and then goes back to “Play” after two seconds.

I tried running both games using the Terminal and I get the errors on the screenshot.

I was messing around reinstalling the games and sometimes Steam said that the games were previously installed on a drive that’s currently not connected, however, this is false because I tried playing other games I have installed in that drive and they work fine.

Then I tried installing both HL1 and 2 on a different SSD and they worked perfectly, so I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the SSD or maybe I messed something up by using the System Update app.

I’m running the KDE version of Bazzite and the SSD is a Kingston SX1000.

Thank you.

I fixed it!

Apparently the issue was the mount point. Going to the Disks app, and editing the mounting options (basically just turn on the “Default values for the user session” toggle) fixed the issue.
