Starting Games with Steam suddenly stopped working

Hello,
I have an issue since a couple of weeks, Games suddenly stopped starting via Steam anymore. Usually there is an error message that dx12 is not supported. Some games (those that don’t require Steam I guess) still work fine when runnning directly with protontricks.

I tried resetting Steam, adding Games to Steam again and changing / reinstalling the Compatibility layer (Proton Experimenteal etc…).

System:
bazzite-nvidia-open
qemu VM with 5070Ti passthrough
32GB RAM
AMD 5950X (8 Cores / 16 Threads passed through / pinned

Any Ideas? I can provide log-files, but I am not sure which would help.

Hi, I had a number of issues with Steam games on Bazzite.

One thing I did find as I was installing games on a separate drive from the root drive.

The biggest issue was that I was installing games to a drive with NTFS file format,
I uninstalled all the game and changed the drive to EXT3 format and this fixed the majority of my issue, Just make sure that you don’t use the proton compatibility options when you start the game from a fresh install. Mine sometimes recalled the previous proton setting.so check it before starting the game.
