Update:
My Linux Media disk is now mounted by default, but now I need to quickly swap my boot options so that I do not get stuck in an emergency boot loop.
If left untouched, the system boots up the first option, which gets me stuck.
Is there a way to make the second option to be the default one?
I run Bazzite 42 and a standalone disk.
And have my games and work files on my secondary internal disk (Linux Media from now on).
I’d like the Linux Media disk to be mounted by default, so that I don’t have to tell Steam where my game library is every boot.
I followed the instructions of this article:
I had my Linux Media drive in this directory: /var/mnt/games
Upon reboot, my PC got stuck in a emergency boot loop.
I managed to fix it, but I have very little idea as to how.
To my understanding, my secondary disk was loaded BEFORE my OS disk.
How that is possible is beyond me.
So I had to hard kill my PC and in the boot menu I quickly selected a different drive before it loaded the wrong one automatically.
Checking the Linux Media drive now and it’s mount path, it seems it reversed itself to the path for removable drives: /run/media/system/Linux_Media
I’ve had issues with mounting disks on Mint as well.
Is there a way to fix this issue?
