Just how silent it is. Randomly it dawned on me that I wasn’t asked if I want monthly subscription to whatever, or if I want to change my browser to whatever or if I want to use suggested browser settings etc. etc. You get the idea.
Never really realized just how much noise I’ve been dealing with all this time. It’s such a nice change to turn on my pc and just use it whenever I want and however I want. Also wanted to give my thanks to everyone who pushed FOSS to where it is today. You all are awesome!
Might be a pointless post so feel free to delete if so but yeah, couldn’t not say how I feel
That’s why We use Linux in the first place, you don’t get bothered or distracted with some weird notifications about some irrelevant services while accomplishing some tasks, as long as you dont fall into some rabbit hole (such as extensive customization ) Have fun with bazzite and linux in general..
I moved to Bazzite from Windows 10 a couple of years ago and appreciate the transition. I have recently needed to install Windows 11 on another drive to use here and there and the noise you describe that never stops from the endless pages during install and the unceasing trickle during normal use has been striking.
