I am trying to record guitar/bass through the instrument jack on my audio interface on Ardour.
The issue is that the input gain of the instrument jack seems to not work properly. Usually it starts with little to no gain unless I crank it all the way up which obviously is no solution due to the massive background noise that creates. When I play louder it sometimes seems to “open” and all of a sudden I have all of the gain but after a bit it closes again and I barely have any gain. So when playing my signal is tiny and then BOOM and then tiny again after a bit.
Sadly I am new to linux so I don’t really know where to start looking for solutions but I assume its got something to do with the driver
