How to stop Steam for launching at boot in Desktop mode (Bazzite Deck Gnome)

In bazzite-deck-gnome the Steam keyboard doesn’t fit in screen and changing the Display Scale to 100% fixes other issues, but not this.

But it turns out that the Gnome Screen Keyboard, available under Accessibility Settings, works and integrates with the system much better.

So, I think that I have no use for Steam launching automatically in Desktop mode, and I would like to disable that, but I don´t find how that was done.

Help?

Either in Gnome-tweaks, last option, or in steam itself. Interface → Run steam when my Computer starts

Thanks for trying to help, but no luck

In Tweaks > Start Applications, there’s only “Ublue First Boot Setup”, which I tried removing several times but keeps reappearing, I guess that it’s in the base image.

In Steam > Settings> Interface “Run Steam when my computer starts” was already off. I tried activating and deactivating it, just in case, but no change.

I believe that Steam loads after Gnome has loaded, because for a couple of seconds the mouse pad is irresponsive, and after the mouse pad works again the Steam button will bring Steam up, not before. This mouse pad lock happened on bazzite-deck with kde as well

Too bad. But I may still have one more:
how about the directory .config/autostart

That folder contains ublue-firstboot.desktop which points to a sh script that launches yafti with a config file where I can see instructions to install software that “Bsazzite portal” offers (Decky, Emudeck …) but no mention to Steam.

I believe it’s unrelated, but I tried moving that desktop file to another folder anyway, and it reappeared
