Hello guys. I need to install v2ray-core on my device, which requires moving some files to /usr/local and other directories under /. Since root directory is read-only, I have no idea how to get this done. Any comment is appreciated ![]()
Hi, I’m not sure how intertwined with the host system do you need it to be. If it doesn’t absolutely needed to be on the root of the system, you can try doing it in a Distrobox container. If it does need direct access and there’s no workaround, your best bet is to add it via image-template or blue-build unless there is a .rpm you can download/make to install via rpm-ostree/dnf.
For more information, consult this page for how things are installed on Bazzite:
You can use v2rayN or Hiddify inside an ubuntu distrobox container.
They work well. The only problem is not being able to us TUN, And I couldn’t finde a workaround for it yet.

I have switched to POP OS, which I found better suits me, but thank you anyway ![]()
