Hello!
Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Handheld Daemon configuration utility will refuse to take the security token, and the message at the bottom of the configuration utility states “Could not connect. Is Handheld Daemon running?”
I’ve tried multiple fixes including reinstalling several times to no avail.
Hopefully someone has seen this issue before and found a fix. Thanks!
I’m having the same issue, though it worked out of the box.
I disabled the server in the settings at some point (stupidly), then it just stopped working. I have no idea how to get it working again.
Edit: might not work for you, what fixed it for me was going into $HOME/.config/hhd/state.yml and changing hhd/http/enable to true/default
edit 2: Steam TDP controls were working fine even with the server disabled, but it’s weird that you can just disable it in the UI and then you need to manually edit configs to re-enable it.
Http was disabled for me. Setting to true fixed my issues. Ty
