gvfs ipod Bazzite KDE

Hello. I like your system. But what I’m missing in the KDE version is GVFS installed so I can connect my iPod and have it show up in Dolphin. No matter how much I search online, it always shows a Fedora installation, but I can’t find one on Bazzite. There’s no aur in Fedora, that would be easier. And the Fedora installer throws an error because Bazzite doesn’t have dnf and doesn’t support it. How do I install GVFS on Bazzite KDE? And of course, the x264 codecs are also annoying, preventing updates from installing, but that’s a whole other story.

the G in GVFS stands for gnome which is a different desktop than KDE. if you rebased to the gnome image of bazzite you would have gvfs. or you could try the amarok or strawberry flatpaks. if neither work, you could install gtkpod with rpm-ostree.

Amarok, gtkpod, I somehow didn’t think of that, because I wanted the iPod to display in Dolphin without any software. Or install GNOME, and then the KDE version. But I managed to connect the iPod, I trusted it on the device, but when I reconnected, it wouldn’t open. Yeah, there’s no information online about installing gvfs on bazite. Why it doesn’t work with RPM is unclear, since it’s built on Fedora. Because of gvfs, I had to install a system with AUR. And it’s strange for a system designed for games, but the system itself works like a turtle compared to other systems designed for games.

There we go, something doesn’t go your way and you leave a passive aggressive remark  I love people sometimes.
