:gts-testing and :testing tags now available

Thanks to RJ we now have ghcr.io/ublue-os/bluefin:gts-testing and ghcr.io/ublue-os/bluefin:testing

:gts-testing is based on Fedora 38
:testing is based on Fedora 39

We’ve needed these for a while and let’s us add new changes and then get feedback and more testing before landing in the stable branches.

This thread has info on switching branches in bazzite, if someone wants to whip up a wiki page equivalent for Bluefin it’d be awesome! Updates, Rollback, and Rebasing on Bazzite

Hello everyone, bear with me as I come to terms with all these details. I had Bluefin (gts) and noticed it was based on fedora 38, so I assumed gts-testing would actually be fedora 39? And normal bluefin:testing should be based on fedora 40?

On a related note, if I need to reinstall bluefin, is there a way to directly install bluefin:39 or bluefin:latest directly from an ISO instead of first installing gts and then rebasing to latest branch?

:latest is F39 and always is the current release of Fedora. Anything with gts in it is always one version behind. This has more info: Bluefin Administrator's Guide

Not yet, hoping to offer those as part of the new installer.

I just tried out ublue kinoite on a spare drive and noticed an entry to install ‘bluefin:latest’ on the grub boot menu of the ublue main ISO. Didn’t boot into it since I went the kinoite way, but seems like that’s one way to pull the latest Bluefin image instead of installing gts from Bluefin’s release ISO and then upgrading to latest branch.
