GNOME-Shell Optimisation in Bazzite

Just a quick question:

Is the gnome-shell-optimization possible to install without breaking system rules?

I was not able to find it. Only found GDM customization in Bazaar.

My goal is:

  • Change mouse cursor

- Change dekstop icons

Oh, btw: Chaning mouse size via gnome settings does not work for me on freshly installed bazzite latest version.

OKay, since no ones answers to this question, I assume bazzite is not ment to have such customisations.

Its been just over 1 day, you can’t really expect to have real time answers. This is mainly a user forum, not dev forum.

Also your question is pretty wide open one, what optimisations are you looking for?

Ehm,
Pretty wide open?

What do you understand by my goals:
My goal is:

  • Change mouse cursor

  • Change dekstop icons

Anyways:
Let me light up your way: I am talking about a package called “gnome-tweaks“, which is available on most all major distributions but not in bazzite.

Just wanted to know whether or not the package ist available/allowed in bazzite as a immutable linux.

Hey,

It seems you are not keen to do any research (or just use the search) and expect all to be provided fast, fast, fast.

I will indulge a bit - Bazzite uses Refine, which essentially does the same thing as Gnome Tweaks.

if you want custom cursors, you download your favorite ones, navigate to .local/share/ folder and create folder named icons (if it does not exists).

Copy the folder(s) with your desired cursor there and use Refine to change the cursor.

Profit.

Great, thanks! I did not refine to be the tool in my reserches. Anyways, I know the procedure on how to get the cursors and icons changed. Just needed the tool.

Okay, I will spread this knowledge, if needed and will do a YT short about it.
