Hi all, I have a desktop pc running 7800x3d and 7900xtx. Recently games have started blocking entering sleep mode. It’s getting ridiculous: After 20 minutes of waiting, I close the game and the computer instantly goes into sleep mode. How to fix it?
Games in which this happens:

The only things I’ve done to the system are trying to change screen jitter settings, pinging the video card voltages, and creating distroboxes. However, I did all that a long time ago
I am encountering the exact same issue. The bazzite logo appears, then the screen goes to black (audio in the background), however pressing my Xbox button shows the menu. Then when I go to exit the game, sleep mode suddenly activates.
Is there a reason the game isn’t being suspended? Possible hibernation issues or not enough SWAP or something like that?
Same here. I can’t pinpoint exactly which update caused this. I just recently installed Bazzite on my Desktop (the steam deck GNOME image since I have a full AMD build) and the suspend was working great, just like SteamOS3 on the deck!
A bit after Christmas maybe was when I noticed the phenomenon you all are talking about. I first noticed it in Mass Effect Legendary edition, but it seems to happen on any game too! Celeste specifically is especially odd because it does manage to go to sleep but maybe 30 seconds after hitting sleep?
I thought I was alone on this, even tried reinstalling Bazzite to no avail.
Good news, I’ve found a workaround. Was fiddling around with systemd and logind and loads of other stuff but the workaround is actually pretty simple
Install Decky Plugin (can do this from the “Bazzite Portal”
Then install “Pause Games”
Enable all the options, “Pause before Suspend”, “Pause on focus loss” and “Also on overlay”
Seems to work. Although occasionally I get audio loss or weirdness on resumption (seems a bit inconsistent, and usually fixes itself after a minute). The game causing me the most issues is Metaphor: ReFantazio, installing MetaphorFix seems to fix it though with the default config.
