Why does Bazzite need a swap?

I previously created a thread with this question, but I was advised to change the category due to the low number of responses.
For the Steam Deck, there is a PauseGame plugin for stopping the game and continuing from the same place, similar to what is implemented in the Xbox, but this does not work correctly when the system exits sleep mode. When the last generation of consoles came out, this Microsoft technology was almost the only real next-gen. And now something similar is on SteamDeck. I really want this to work on my sofa system. I think there is no point in saying how convenient this function is. So… Having dug a little into the question, I think that the cause of the problem lies in the use of zram. I found instructions for Fedor and I could not configure btrfs. It describes how to configure the creation of a swap file for hibernation mode with zram sharing without negative consequences for the OS. Is it possible to do this in Bazzit?
Can the creators add the ability to work out of the box with both zram and swap devices?

The category was fine, but you labeled it as a Bazzite Buzz article, which should be locked for only admins/mods anyways, so that’s okay.

Bazzite uses zram yeah, but SteamOS is already doing this in the 3.6 testing channel (known as “main”) and that plugin is going to break once stable channel is on 3.6 regardless. I am sorry to inform you that this plugin is going to be broken on both Bazzite and eventually SteamOS very soon.

Thank you. Let’s hope the guys developing the plugin will be able to do something for the new version of Steam and then it will work in Bazzite.
