Literally what the title says. I have steam, telegram and Vivaldi (my browser) running and that’s all, watching videos and suddenly my desktop frame rate drops to zero and it becomes impossible to use the laptop, reboot works as a temporally fix. I don’t why but it always happens when I’m just watching youtube for whatever the reason. I didn’t kinda care before because it would happen once a week but today it happened TWICE. Like… Wth. And I don’t know how I’m supposed to search the problem in the first place, it never happens when I play games but when I’m just chilling watching YT.
Happened again and checked what’s going on with journalctl -r and found this interesting line right around when it happened amdgpu 0000:05:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* dc_dmub_srv_log_diagnostic_data: DMCUB error - collecting diagnostic data, which led me to this thread who has a relatively similar problem ([SOLVED] amdgpu framework [drm] dc_dmub_srv_log_diagnostic_data / Kernel & Hardware / Arch Linux Forums).
Well, I guess I have now only to pray that this will actually help.
