Hello friends. I recently acquired a 4k monitor. However, it is quite large at 48”. I’m looking to improve performance and also give that cinematic game mode for some games by running in 21:9. More specifically 3840x1600. This is not available in the menu in game mode.
I’ve found the custom-resolution-helper and ran it but it only added it for desktop mode, not game mode.
I’ve also tried -w 3840 -h 1600 in the launch options but that didn’t do anything.
/sys/class/drm contains directories representing all connected graphics cards as well as their individual output ports. For instance, my monitor connected to the first DisplayPort port of my 9070XT (card1) is at /sys/class/drm/card1-DP-1.
Find the directory for the port your monitor is connected to and have a look at the modes file inside. Does it even list 3840x1600?
