Considering the cloud native architecture, is it possible I can get some support to fill in the blanks as to how to get Backup & Restore working with a self-hosted minio(s3) setup working.
I am making use of KopiaUI , to backup the home folder to Minio. Considering the flatpak version doesn’t work. I am a bit stuck. Lets suppose I install it in a devbox. What would be the next logical steps to set it up so that I can make use of it.
Apologies in advance if this has been mentioned anywhere, even if someone points me in the right direction I will update this post with the instructions as it becomes clear to me and hopefully serve as a guide for others in the future.
Hi again !
I don’t think its a bluefin issue , or might be ?
under the reviews in flatpak there are 2 comments from this month that the app itself doesn’t work. When you install it in the top right corner the icon shows up and no GUI opens up.
I don’t know if its something the developers setup. But its wicked. So when you install say devbox Ubuntu… and if your familiar with installing commands there, you can launch kopia from there… and everything is just mounted in your home directory automagically , and restore from there… So I’m just trying to wrap my head around this but essentially you can run anything in any other OS and your home directory is attached.
I do get all these errors , but regardless of what they do ; I’m syncing my home directory back together and just ignoring these :
