The text in the grub menu is very small and I can barely read the options. In addition to wanting to bump the font size, I wouldn’t mind giving it a new theme. I think I found how to generate fonts but I need GRUB_THEME= and GRUB_FONT=.
I found a Grub theming guide for Silverblue / Ublue thread but it refers to /etc/default/grub for these, which seems to have been superseded.
How is customising grub done nowadays?
Generally, nowadays it’s not customized.
On Bluefin/Aurora, customizing grub is not officially supported (Ensure regenerate-grub recipe is in bazzite justfile · Issue #2522 · ublue-os/bazzite · GitHub) but may be possible, see: No regenerate-grub option with ujust --choose. · ublue-os/bluefin · Discussion #3363 · GitHub
On Bazzite, you have: ujust regenerate-grub
So on Bazzite you may try to create/boot/grub2/user.cfg (read thread below for examples) but on Bluefin or Aurora, it may be more trouble than it’s worth.
