Can't change resolution to anything below 4K

Hello,

I installed Aurora on an older laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad S145, with a Ryzen 7 3700U CPU and integrated AMD graphics).

The problem is that, when I connect it to my TV (Samsung CU7700), it insists on using 4K resolution - and the laptop is too weak for that (it can barely make 30 Hz at 4K), so everything stutters.

When I try to force a lower resolution (like 1920x1080) … nothing happens: I get a brief flash on the screen, then the TV’s OSD shows me I am still in 4K.

In KDE’s settings the resolution is properly set to 1920x1080:

Anything else I can check? I am using the latest version of Aurora.

… the problem was not Aurora or my laptop. The problem is that the TV had some upscaling stuff hidden deep within its menus.

Disabled it, and now I can use 1920x1080.
