Bluetooth can no longer be enabled

Hey everyone, running into a weird issue. Was using bluetooth for quite a while on bazzite-desktop edition (been daily driving it for about 2 months). Just yesterday i rearranged my desktop setup a bit, so i completely disconnected every cable etc. from the computer. After setting everything up again and turning the computer on, bluetooth was no longer enabled and now can’t manually be enabled again.

In the bluetooth section in the system settings it just says “Bluetooth is disabled” with the enable button beneath it not working (I can click on it, but nothing happens). Similarly, the slider Button on the top right does nothing - I can switch it to enabled, but as soon as i navigate to another tab/close the system settings it just resets to Disabled again.

I am now a little bit confused, because everything was working perfectly before, better than in windows even. Do you have any ideas what the issue could be?

I am in the same boat. For me, bluetooth broke after re-enabling updates following the key-signing incident.

According to lshw, this is my bluetooth controller

                       *-usb:1
                            description: Bluetooth wireless interface
                            product: AX200 Bluetooth
                            vendor: Intel Corp.
                            physical id: 6
                            bus info: usb@1:6
                            version: 0.01
                            capabilities: bluetooth usb-2.01
                            configuration: driver=btusb maxpower=100mA speed=12Mbit/s

bluetoothctl list shows now controllers. Any tips from anyone on how to fix this?

Same here. I was playing as normal these days and today I realized the gamepad was not connecting and then I saw the bluetooth wasnt in the systray. The enable button does not work. I did not install apps or update. I just started the system updater as always before go to Steam just in case there is a bazzite update.

hey, I just installed bazzite for the first time on a Minisforum Atom Man G7 PT mini PC (Ryzen 9, 7600m XT) and having the same issue with Bluetooth disabled and not enabling. Unfortunate cause I would love to use a controller and wireless keyboard.

That is literally exactly the situation im in.

Hopefully somebody finds out the fix.

For some strange reason, today when I logged the taskbar pins and the sound settings were reset (and I guess other too) and the bluetooth was working… Any developer can give their thoughts about this behaviour? Is not the first time I see these configurations reset and the only thing I do is to play Steam.

Btw, my specs:

bazzite-nvidia 40
Ryzen 5900X
RTX 4090
Bluetooth/wifi is an intel chip builtin in Strix X570-E mobo

Got the same problem, mine show up in lshw and rfkill but bluetoothctl says ‘No default controller available’

ukz@ukzibox:/var/home/ukz$ sudo lshw | grep Blue
                      description: Bluetooth wireless interface
                      product: AX200 Bluetooth
ukz@ukzibox:/var/home/ukz$ rfkill list all
0: hci0: Bluetooth
        Soft blocked: no
        Hard blocked: no
ukz@ukzibox:/var/home/ukz$ bluetoothctl
Waiting to connect to bluetoothd...[bluetooth]# Agent registered
[bluetooth]# show
No default controller available

Reloading the firmware module solved it for me:

sudo rmmod btusb
sudo modprobe btusb
