Best edition for a nVidia 900 series M?

Hey all. First of all, I adore Bluefin and have been having great success running it on an old 2015 Dell XPS laptop.

My question is fairly general and isn’t because I’m having any problems, with a 960M as a secondary gpu on top of the integrated Intel, would I better off on the regular image or the nvidia image? I know the download tells me that the nvidia image is for 10xx + but it still seems to work and the ujust nvidia tests all pass, but I just want to make sure I’m using the best base and wondered if anyone else had similar experience / knowledge with this sort of hardware.

Thank you!

I didn’t know the nvidia image was for 10xx+. At work I use a workstation with a Quadro P2200 and just assumed I should install the nvidia image for nvidia drivers… I guess it’s going fine!

Yeah, I figured that the nvidia image will mandate the use of the proprietary drivers and so thought that maybe cards older than 10xx do better with the open ones, but honestly I’ve not really seen a difference anyway, I was just curious if there was a defined ‘right’ way to go with this age of nvidia hardware.

Thanks for the reply!
