Xbox One controller being recognized as xbox 360 controller after steam gaming mode update

Yesterday, after updating my system through Steam’s gaming mode, my Xbox One S controller stopped being detected via Bluetooth. I reconnected it, and it started working again, but now both Steam and desktop mode recognize it as an Xbox 360 controller. Additionally, I can no longer open the sidebar using the Xbox button + A.

Note: When connected via cable, it is correctly recognized as an Xbox One controller. The issue only occurs with the Bluetooth connection.

Fastfetch shows two controllers but i have only one connected!

I have a Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 and it has stopped working in game after the last update. I use Bazzite desktop but I tried Steam Big Picture and the controller works there, but not in-game. Fastfetch also says it’s an Xbox Wireless Controller but I’m not sure if it said anything different before the update. I will keep investigating

It may not be the same problem @Thiago_Luiz but I booted the previous version of Bazzite and my controller now works in-game. That is 40.20240615 :person_shrugging:

Sorry for the spam but for what is worth…

Thank you for your response @waldon, How can i boot Bazzite in previous versions? Thx :grinning:

Nevermind, i learned how to rollback and just work perfectly, thank you soo much @waldon , i will wait for a fix in new stable version!!
