Windows not shown in grub nor BIOS while dual booting

Hello, so I’ve just installed Bazzite on a secondary drive and now I cannot boot back into Windows. I’ve tried ujust regenerate-grub and that adds a boot menu entry for UEFI Firmware Settings. When I boot into the BIOS, I’m also not given an option to boot into Windows. I can see the NVME with Windows installed in Disks and everything seems normal there. I’ve searched through these forums and Reddit for a solution but I can’t seem to find one. If anybody has some experience with this problem, I would very much appreciate their help.

Dawg, this is tricky. Do you have secure boot enabled or disabled? That can change a few things. I had this problem before. Let me scram and put it in a document for you.

I ended up giving up after a few more hours of trying to figure it out but I did have secure boot enabled. I ended up trying to restore the UEFI on the Windows Boot but could not partition any space on that drive due to Windows BitLocker. I was able to unlock the drive in Linux to transfer important data but could never partition it. I gave up on dual booting and unfortunately I’ll be held hostage by Windows for a while longer it seems.

Hello! I just posted a discussion based on some dual-boot issues I was having myself, that could be relevant to you here. I don’t know for sure, but it’s why I couldn’t get Windows to show up in my Grub menu.

Just want to come back and talk about what probably went wrong to begin with for anyone in the future. I believe Windows put it’s boot loader on my secondary drive when installed. I didn’t catch that before I formatted it for my Bazzite install. I’m only realizing this now almost a week later as I am going to try and dual boot again but I’m being extra careful this time around. So if anyone encounters this problem in the future, this may be the reason.
