What does "red 1" on top-right of terminal icon means?

Today I have updated blufin with ujust update, rebooted and after login I see red icon with number “1” in top-right of terminal icon. What is this “red 1” all about?

Just a joke: It would be reasonable if it is “red 11” (my nickname), but “red 1”?

That is generelly a “notification badge”.

Do you have some notification from the terminal in the gnomes notification “center” when you click the center of the top bar (where the clock by default is)

My laptop install of Bluefin has two notifications on the terminal app. I’m guessing it has something to do with a couple packages that are no longer supported.

Do you have a notification in the update process in the terminal that a package is no longer supported?

Interesting yes… I clicked on clock to display notifications and got this:

Then clicked of all of the “x” from top-right and when bottom message was clicked on “x” then terminal “red 1” disappeared. Problem solved.

I did another ujust update and no errors are displayed.

Oh! That’s the thing that runs when you have a command that takes a long time, it reminds you when it’s finished. You should see a similar message if you run a long backup, rsync command, etc.

Yeah this is a GNOME thing. What j0rge said is correct.
