Fairly new user, here. I really like Bazzite, but I’m running into a problem across multiple games that is kind of a deal breaker. I’m hoping that others have seen this issue and have a workaround.
While playing games, the graphics freeze periodically. Sometimes this lasts less than a second, sometimes it will not recover on its own, but when I alt-tab out and back in, video works again. In some cases where the game freezes and recovers on its own, a movement key remains depressed until I alt-tab out and back in, then it’s fine again.
This happens totally randomly. I’ve gone an hour or so without it occurring, and I’ve had it happen within the first few minutes of playing.

I tried to log through steam/proton, but honestly not sure what I’m looking at here. I tried with and without LD_PRELOAD=“” %command% in the launch options, but no difference. Tried a bunch of different proton versions, also no difference. The log: ======================Proton: 1757345959 experimental-10.0-20250908bSteamGam - Pastebin.com
Has anyone else run into something like this? Incidentally, I tried installing KDE version (both rebasing and fresh install of Bazzite) originally, but for some reason, I just get graphical distortion (snow?) at the top 20% of my screen. Not sure if related.
