@krzychhoo the tinker section of the documentation (or maybe all former documentation) seems lost with the newer website. The best I can now find on how to create a custom image is this post by @j0rge but not sure if you know of a more up-to-date / maintained guide to creating custom images?
@rik Right now it seems like the custom image stuff is getting restructured into a separate Github Org (blue-build) with documentation available on their website.
Blue Build is essentially a continuation of the previous ublue-os/startingpoint repository which my guide was based on.
If you are familiar with container / cloud tech, then you could also follow Jorge’s advice.
PS: While reading through the comments on that thread I noticed you found Blue Build but I will still leave this comment if anyone stumbles on this thread, seeking clarification.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I had stumbled into BlueBuild yesterday but only replied to the other post that Jorge has posted. Jorge noted they are working on updating uBlue documentation to make custom images, and I have reading to do here and on BlueBuild to understand more.
Anyway, thanks for the reply, it will help others that stumble into this the same way I did
