After last ujust update yesterday evening 18.08.2025, when i had time to log in to computer system became unstable.
First wife called me, about my comp’s screen flickering - it had rebooted and in Steam gamemode as it’s usual, display was flickering partially with green artifacts, moving mouse - everything went “as usual” screen at place , switched to desktop , noticing some kind flicker , while desktop was loading.
Network sharing worked (as router is in RMA, i have share connection thru my Intel NUC).
EDIT: If to switch from Desktop to Gamemode - i can for example launch few windows games i have installed , like Lord of The Rings Online and World of Tank Blitz, other games will not start. In Desktop i cant launch any game.
EDIT 2:
ujust fix-steam-rest - no command like this.
EDIT 3: in wayland screen if to leave mouse cursor anywhere on screen , lower part starts to flicker with steam overall desktop split in to three quadrates - upper part statick , lower part has 2 parts of screen flickering.
Lets make clear :
Im using bazzite-nvidia-deck (#42) with external NVIDIA 1660 on eGPU dock thru M.2 slot.
Before update everything worked without any issues. To me looks like update from NVIDIA 557 driver to 580 is causing issues.
Along wlan driver issue some kind is introduced… it works and shares connection but in dmesg it gives license warnings …
Anyone could help me with suggestions beside re-install (I do not feel very motivated re-downloading some 100 Gb of games + setting em up , particulary “Blizzard.net Launcher” part )
System specs and some logs i managed to reproduce follow:
