Solaar Issue with Bluetooth

I’m not sure if this is a Solaar issue, or a Bluefin issue. I can only get Solaar to see my Bluetooth mouse (Logitech Anywhere MX) if it’s already connected to BT before running Solaar.

If I launch Solaar first (like on startup with Ignition), and then the mouse connects… Solaar never sees it. I have to close Solaar, disconnect the mouse from BT, restart Solaar, then reconnect the mouse to BT. I’ve tried lots of different patterns with launching Solaar, or leaving it running - and can consistently reproduce the issue - if Solaar is already running and the mouse is then connected - it never “sees” it.

Any help? Or is this a “go post on Solaar’s project, bro” question

I can’t help but I can relate to your concerns and share a similar issue.

The Logitech MX Master 3s mouse connected to a Logitech Logi Bolt USB Receiver will always be visible to Solaar. However, as soon as I connect it directly to the laptop’s Bluetooth, Solaar is unable to see it unless I restart the Solaar app.

This problem appears to be related to the Solaar flatpak package. I didn’t experience this issue when I was using the Solaar RPM package that used to come with Bluefin.

Okay, I fixed my issue by using Flatseal and giving Network permission to the Solaar flatpak:

I have no idea what Network has to do with it, but now Solaar will see my Bluetooth mouse even if it starts before I turn on the Mouse.
