Can I use Boxbuddy to install Nordvpn , will I be covered globally if I run Nordvpn in Boxbuddy

I don’t think so. VPN needs to run at system level. Correct me if I am wrong.

Ok thank you…think I will stay with Fedora as I have a paid up subscription with Nordvpn

You can layer the rpm or add the nordvpn repo to your install (if nordvpn provides a repo for it), that is mostly the only way to get these VPN apps to work properly.

Another way is to download openvpn configuration from Nordvpn and use NetworkManager to connect to them. This way, you don’t need their proprietary app.

would this do it?

Fedora NordVPN Repository

To install NordVPN on Fedora, you can add the NordVPN repository to your system. First, download the repository package using the following command:

wget https://repo.nordvpn.com/deb/nordvpn/debian/pool/main/nordvpn-release_1.0.0_all.deb

That looks like a debian repo (propably a typo?).

Also you would need to move it to the /etc/yum.repo.d (can’t check the correct path right now, but if i remember right the repo path is that one).

And then you would need to install the nordvpn package

I think most consumer VPN companies offer the option to connect to their server using openvpn, because that’s how they manage to let your home router to connect to them if you want to do so.
Maybe login to their web page and find the tutorial of it.
