No internet connection in openbox session

I use a remote desktop software that sadly still depends on X, so I installed plasma-workspace-x11, kwin-x11 and openbox just like I did on my Kinoite install (I keep it on a drive for testing).

Unlike Kinoite, however, when I’m in the openbox session I have no access to the internet. Not sure if the wifi gets disconnected? I know this is a really vague issue (no problems in plasma x11), but is there something I should be checking?

I remote into a Mac and need the “super” key to work, hence why I use openbox (as plasma, along with every other DE, hijacks the use of that key).

I’m surprised that openbox works in Kinoite at all, since it’s basically its own separate desktop environment and I would expect rough edges. In any case, maybe you can poke around with nmcli and see if anything is different in the openbox session vs the KDE session.
