No driver for Brother MFC-J4335DW printer

I’m attempting to use my printer, but it seems to be defaulting to the driver for a different printer, the HP Designjet T920 PostScript. I tried, but I cannot print from it when using this default driver. When adding the printer I get a notification from GNOME software stating “Additional Printer Drivers Required.” Clicking this opens GNOME software to a page saying “No Results Found.” Under the printer details menu for the printer, it says you can select a driver for the printer, but I scrolled through all the brother ones listed and couldn’t find mine. You also also have the option to install a PPD file, but I couldn’t find one on the brother website, or anywhere else from searching. There is an RPM driver on the website that I could try layering, but my understanding is that layering is generally something you want to avoid, so I thought I might ask here first before pursuing this route. Does anyone have any ideas of what else to try? Thanks!

Update: I tried adding it again today, it is now saying “Brother Printer, driverless” as the model/driver name and is working flawlessly. I have no clue why it has just randomly started working, but I won’t complain

I had this problem a while ago on Fedora. In the details menu, I would keep trying differing Brother models until I found one that worked. I don’t know about using the RPM driver.

Maybe also check if your printer supports IPP protocol.
I switched my printer (Brother HL-L2442DW) to IPP over WiFi and adding it to Aurora install was really seamless.
