Lenovo Go Disable the Touchscreen (Semi Solved)

Hi All,

Does anyone know a way to disable the touchscreen in Game mode?

Maybe its just me, but the right joystick is to close to the screen and I constantly touch the display with my thumb, this is not a great experience during game play.

Would be awesome if the HHD had a button to turn off the touchscreen.

Edit: I’m an idiot, for anyone else wanting to do this, I found this:

“Go to the Steam Input for the game, and then click “Edit Layout”. Afterwards, go down to the Action Sets section. There you should see the “Default” set. Next to the default set, there should be a gear icon. Click it and you will have the option to add an “Always on command”. Click that option, and then press the “Add Command” button next to the “always on command” item created from the previous step. once you click to add a command, go all the way to the “System” section. There you should see the command option “Touchscreen Off”, which you can set. Once that’s done, the touchscreen should be disabled for the game with that change”

Double edit: I’m even more of an idiot, this only partially works, it still registers a single click throwing the games into mouse mode then it shuts off the touch screen, so fixes issues with some games, but not FPS games, it really messes with those.

For anyone else that stumbles across this, I have raised a feature request with HHD: Handheld Daemon on Github

Just and FYI to all, the dev has enabled this feature now, tested it last night and it works flawlessly, so no more false mouse clicks when playing FPS games!

The setting can be found by triple clicking the quick access menu button, or double click and then press “Y” select the controller tab and scroll all the way to the bottom.

The setting is designed to re-enable the touch screen automatically when you reboot, as the dev feared that someone might enable this by accident and thinks their touch screen is broken

Here is a link to HHD, its not mentioned in the release notes, but it has been included from v3.3.0 onwards Release v3.3.0: Gestures, Shortcuts, and External Controllers · hhd-dev/hhd · GitHub
