Latest stable-daily installs SRPM macros and other rpm tools

I just wanted to ask if it was intentional to install (Added) a bunch of SRPM macros and other rpm dev tools that I received today, as part of the current stable-daily update?

I don’t see such a change in the github commit history, do they come as new dependencies to an existing package?

These appear to be pulled in when we pinned a kernel, the team is investigating, thanks!

Is this maybe related to the openrazer stuff, as per this comment.

For some reason this seems to only affect the stable/stable-daily streams. For example -latest stream on both Aurora or Bluefin don’t seem to have those packages.

Hi @inffy, is this still under investigation? I still have these packages in today’s build too.

These are dependencies of akmods that are being pulled in due to kernel pinning. This is our best guess (from the discussion on Discord):

But yes it’s something with akmods where it thinks it needs to be installed for the RPM to install from akmods

I don’t think these packages are harmful to be present on the system and they should go away when the kernel is unpinned.
