What is your output of rpm-ostree status
?
Edit: nevermind, you need to enroll the new secure boot key.

did all the updates since install
so far since i’ve installed it, the kde plasma settings application crashes so i can’t change any settings
after installing steam with the included installer, basic things like doom eternal which i think is native/officially supported doesn’t run
install proton ge, same result
firefox crashes constantly… neat ideas here but not a usable distro
Do you use a Nvidia GPU by chance?
yes…
if you have some ideas i guess i am willing to experiment?
sorry for any frustration i have been watching bazzite and tried a few versions now and thought maybe i had misunderstood if it was production/testing yet
Yeah, you should switch to X11 for the time being (in the login screen near the bottom, default is Wayland). As for issues with Doom Eternal, I would suggest making an issue in our issue tracker and attaching logs to it, or reach out our Discord under the #bazzite-help
channel. That isn’t normal for that game to be crashing unless there’s something wrong with your hardware or something is misconfigured.
smh its always nvidia isnt it i should know
thanks
update: the ‘not starting’ issue was my failure to remove the wine-compatibility-prefixes in steam for the game, i think
good video if someone else has the same issue
ive been using linux for decades but playing games in windows that whole time
Hi a bit late for me to reply now (as i have been on vacation) but i have been involved with the Polaris testing since i have a Polaris card myself, the latest versions should have this fixed properly now with a better detection for Polaris cards and using an older gamescope version when a Polaris card is detected.
Let us hope that valve fixes the Polaris issue in the newer gamescope at some point so system maintainers dont have to ship 2 versions of gamescope.
Nice! , this week I will try it and say something around here. Thanks in advance :).
Nice, thanks for your transparency. Fixed!
Now works all fine! Thanks.
thank you so much for all you guys do. when I start getting a more steady paycheck I can’t wait to start contributing at least monetarily.
ah… so that’s why updates stopped. Now it’s all updated - thanks for all you do!
I seem to be getting this today which is weird?
Is this script still applicable?
I recently received:
