in that tags why there isnt handhelds isn’t there alot bazzite user for it?

so those have own place so they dont get mixxed to pcs place and under that

sub catogory for handhelds what supports bazzite

so first bazzite then handhelds then named handheld like example Ally x,

and sorry if i am rude or someone already suggested this i am new here and just installed it to my Ally x

As I understand it, there is no difference between PC and Handheld Bazzite. They both use the same version. And as far as Supported and Non-supported, if they do not support it, they might not fix it (depends on if they want to help, or not). That was the risk the user chose, when they installed Bazzite. But it is better to ask, than to wait for miracles.

Of course, they will probably extend more into non-supported systems, but that is strictly their decision.

Furthermore, a lot of handheld’s apu’s are also used in laptops (but Ally X is an exception, it uses a proprietary APU, meaning it is not used anywhere else). For instance: A10 based solutions, the 6000u series, the 7000u series, and so on…

If you have a specific problem, it is easier to search posts with that problem. If there is no problem, there shouldn’t be an issue. As the old saying goes: “Do not fix something that isn’t broken”.

of course there is diffrence like Handheld-Specific Drivers specific that one power states and they have amd diffrent versions of them and most them dont have own specific GPU either that mater if u looking solutions of ur problem on that device. if it has put in here that solution those pc’s and handheld uses it, it might not work or it goes worse or something

they update is diffrent when using ujust update on it right? but most of them are same

and sorry for this and i undertand that searching specific problem

and thanks for answer in my first post enjoying my bazzite

Well, yes and no. Most handhelds handle different controls by Bios level drivers (bumpers and touch screens). Of course, there are outlier, but most of them are handled by controller support drivers. Now the Big problem is those who need special drivers, which can’t use controller drivers.

As for power states, there is absolutely no difference at all between an laptop and handheld. It does not come based on system, but based on CPU/APU. The existence of dedicated GPU does not define a power state. For example: Framework laptops, use same APU as handhelds, but they can also add dedicated GPU. Now, noone in their right mind would waste time writing an separate power mode for that. It is easier to let it be handled by system defaults.

As far as updates, they are also mostly the same for every system. Unless there are special drivers. Which is why, sometimes things will stop working, until they release a fix for it.

yea thats true power states thanks and well shall see how good updates coming this year still

Now what I am curious about is how many controllers does it support at once (some games are 4 player co-op games). And if they disable the system controller on handhelds once the first physical gamepad/controller is connected? Do they hook into system controller?

most likey depends on game and on drivers and somekind app let it decide how it works some controllers arent easy use or that simple to use in some games or emus tho

like i have nacon revolution 5 pro and its application dont work bazzite if i understand correctly

Yeah, I have that same problem with my original ps3 controller (ps4 controller would have worked out of the box). But my logitech xbox360 style controller does work. But maybe it works in big picture mode (Steam also has built-in controller support)? It says, it is compatible with ps4.

The best thing about it (and why I got it in the first place), is that it’s button layout is same as ps3 controller. (and is almost as small).
