Forgive me if this is a simple thing, but I searched and nothing jumped out to me.
On KDE, is there a way to always force a specific app to open on a specific monitor? Are there window rules that could get this accomplished?
Thanks a bunch!

I basically answered my own question, but rather than delete maybe this will help someone else in the future.
There is no window rule for launching on a specific monitor but there is a rule for launching in a specific position. So, by doing some very simple math you can get the application to launch where you want every time.
You can right click on the title bar, go to “more actions” and then “configure special applications settings” or you can also do the same thing from within the “window rules” section of the settings panel.
I usually would just manually move and set all the position and properties I want the window/application to start in, then ALT + F3 > More Actions > Configure Special Window/Application Settings > Detect Window Properties.
Sometimes you need to set it Force instead of Apply Initially though, but if you do, then usually those properties cannot be changed, so try what works and what doesn’t.
Detect Window Properties.
Thanks for that! I was setting up an app to open full-screen on a second monitor so it was easy to just set the position manually, but this will come in handy for any app I would like to open in a specific area of a monitor.
