I was hoping this would just go away on its own, but it’s persisted since I installed Bazzite months ago. When HDR is enabled in gaming mode, I get this weird flicker every few seconds that seems to be related to inputs from keyboard/gamepad (they don’t happen if I’m not pressing anything). I don’t notice it in game - only in the gaming mode menus, but it’s still kind of annoying. It does not happen when HDR is disabled. I’ve tried swapping displayport cables and using different ports, but no luck so far. I’m using a 5700XT with a MSI MPG321URX monitor. If this is a known issue or there is some kind of workaround, I would appreciate any help.
It is definitely a known issue with Wayland/amdgpu/KDE/VRR. It happens on KDE when VRR is enabled.
One workaround is to disable VRR in settings. There may be other workarounds I am curious what other people do.
