Flameshot stopped working for me

Flameshot has stopped working, saying it cannot capture the screen.
As best I can tell, it worked on 2024-11-08, if not later.

❯ flatpak run org.flameshot.Flameshot gui
Gtk-Message: 11:51:12.231: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 11:51:12.232: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
qt.qpa.qgnomeplatform: Could not find color scheme ""
Qt: Session management error: Could not open network socket
flameshot: error: Unable to capture screen
flameshot: error: Unable to capture screen
flameshot: info: Screenshot aborted.

I rolled back to the 2024-11-12 release, but it still fails. I’m not sure if this is when it broke, but has worked recently.
Even thought it worked previously, I’ve fiddled around with FlatSeal, but nothing seems to help.

Here’s my system info (still booted from 2024-11-12)

After setting that permission it worked on my system. Before it did not like on your system.

Just a fresh flatpak install so didn’t mess with anything other then that. Hope that works for you.

Thanks! :raised_hands:
One step closer.
Does the keyboard work for you? i.e. press Ctrl-s to save, or Space for settings?
Doesn’t work for me.

Yep seems like it, captured with keyboard shortcut

Yeah keyboard worked fine, was able to open the panel with space, change color and draw on my screenshot and save it with ctrl-s to disk.

Saw something about Clapper and pinned kde and gnome things that were out of date, decided to remove the flatpak.
Did a ujust update and reboot again, and everything is working now.
:person_shrugging:
Thanks again!
