Final Fantasy XIV - Files with chinese characters

Creator of the mod had a solution.
Simply adding this to the mod manager settings fixes everything.

I am new to Linux and had a good experience so far.
Everything works just fine, but I encountered an issue with loading files with Chinese characters for modding FFXIV.

TLDR:

  • I want to load a mod to FF
  • General mods work right away and without issues
  • ALL mods work right away on Windows
  • The mod I want to import contains files with Chinese characters
  • The roundabout way to fix this is to rename all the files in the mod
  • When I rename a file, the mod manager reads it and throws an error on the next file with Chinese characters
  • There are files that cannot be renamed
