SO I had installed Bazite with the KDE Enviroment, it was stable and all was fine, until I ran the command : (I can’t seem to find it anymore but it basically uninstalled KDE and installed GNOME)
I love GNOME, the UI is beautiful, however nothing was working. ANy install with flatpack never ran, steam only would let me install Linux native games, even when I used Boxy nothing would run. So I did a reinstall back to KDE and everything is fine.
What did I do wrong? I would prefer to use GNOME but I don’t want to go through the reinstall again just for nothing to work.
Most probably yes. Gnome apparently can be unstable when you use a lot of Extensions, I personally haven‘t been having any problems though. Extensions are awesome by the way. If you ever want anything on the DE Level, there‘s a good chance you can get it through Extensions.
Tiling Window Managers, Bluetooth Battery Display, there‘s a lot of neat things. I can recommend you a few later when I‘m back on my PC. By default, Bluefin also enables a few. Check that out, maybe you can customise something to be more to your liking.
That’s where I would start.
I’ve used Gnome for years, and it’s reliable.
The only problem I have (sluggish) is related to my having an Intel A380 and an Nvidia RTX A4500, but a reboot always fixes it.
