Just wanted to share that I’m using Bazzite on my STEAM DECK 256GB by 6 months, and I’m absolutely satisfied. Smooth, personalized, using the SD on the dock as a computer right now and switching to gamemode make it perfect to play on the couch after work. I’m so grateful to all the people that worked on this distribution!!! <3

Agree with this, I use it on my Legion Go, have tried a few other operating systems, but settled totally on Bazzite.
now i want to try this, i have SD too!
How is desktop/game mode switching like? steamOS always had to start in game mode so i stopped using it as much. I know bazzite has game mode installer, and i wonder if that one can start in desktop mode sometimes
It’s very satisfying to have a full personalized SD. So I strongly suggest You to try it. You can always switch back in case. Regarding the desktop mode, the switch is seamless and I thin it’s slightly faster than original OS, also going back to GAMEMODE is faster. I don’t think You can force the desktop mode, unless You try to install the desktop version of Bazzite… Though I think it will be less optimized for the SD since there is a specific version for the STEAM DECK.
