Can someone tell me why bazzite sticks to the old kernel 6.17.7 for so long and doesn’t change to the new one like 6.18?
Maybe they already work on ogc-kernel?
I don’t have anything definitive. But, from the little I’ve read on the topic, I think Bazzite’s kernel is modified from the Fedora Always Ready Kernel kernel which is based on the ARK kernel:
I could be completely wrong about that. But, if so, I guess there’d be some kind of delay between a new stable linux kernel release and it getting fed upstream and modified to get to us in Bazzite.
I don’t know what Bazzite’s philosophy or goal is for kernel updates.
