Hey! Made an account to ask about an issue I had this morning after a reboot.
I had my PC on overnight, and in the morning I turned it off for a bit, then back on, after which I was unable to log in to my user account. My password was rejected as incorrect, despite working previously and being quite simple.
Some time before this, upon booting up my PC I was introduced to new options during the boot, OSTREE:s, which was a new thing to see on the screen during the boot. I tried simply rebooting and retrying for a while, but to no avail. My password still didn’t work.
I decided to try to change the OSTREE, from 0 to 1 I believe, and I was able to log in again.
I read up on how to stop automatic updates from the terminal and did that next, assuming the issue was related to updates.
Any idea what the issue was, and what I should do about it? Thank you in advance!
