Most servers run 24/7. Reboots typically happen only for the occasional kernel update. How does one install updates on an immutable server OS? Is it necessary to reboot the server?
These are typically deployed in fleets, the individual node can be rebooted whenever.
I schedule mine to automatically reboot at night, if you’re following best practices then everything should come up the same way every time.
