A fox under my house

I am new to Bazzite but have used Linux Mint for the past six years, so I am not new to Linux. Since installing Bazzite, which I really like, I have noticed two connected issues.

I have the power saver settings configured so the PC goes into sleep mode after 15 minutes. The problem is that it keeps waking at random times without anyone touching it or even being in the room.

The second related issue is that every time it wakes, the PC speakers make a quick double thud noise. The sound is connected via USB to a Focusrite 2.

How can I stop the PC from waking by itself, and how can I fix the speaker thud noise.

For context, the title comes from the fact that for a week I kept waking during the night to the thud noise “coming from under my house”. At 3 am I was convinced it was an animal under the house, maybe even a fox, until I finally realised it was the PC subwoofer kicking in each time the PC woke.

This solution works for me regarding your 2nd problem

You can check the system journal with ujust logs-this-boot or the kjournaldbrowser application which comes preinstalled with bazzite. If you look at the timestamps where your PC wakes up then you should see a reason for that there.
