I noticed that there’s not GTS release for aurora. However it appears that there is a universal blue build of kinoite with the gts tag. I was wondering why the decision was made not to use gts for this project. Does it have to do with the release cadence for kde?
There is really no use for it. KDE would still be updated unlike gnome. Kernel would be the same etc.
Currently there is just not really a point to build it.
@Jordan_Russell1, if you are referring to GTS release of Blufin, then additional info is required. Blufin GTS, twice a year when new release of Fedora comes out, is the same as Blufin “stable” channel release and this will happen next in spring 2026 when Blufin GTS users will be rebased to Blufin stable channel and Blufin GTS will not longer exists on its own. Details in article:
From spring 2026 and on it will only exists: Blufin LTS and Blufin (stable channel).
So additional argument why not Aurora GTS, because “other” sibling non-distro is also going away.
