Updates in bootc-image based on ublue-os image template?

I used the template from GitHub - ublue-os/image-template: Build your own custom Universal Blue Image! to setup my own github workflow. I re-configured the Containerfile to use Aurora and rebased my laptop to use my image.

If I run the Aurora ‘System Update’, I observe that it checks my github repo for updates.

Checking the ‘System Settings’ → ‘System’, ‘Software Update’, I can choose manual/Automatic for the software updates.

It seems that I might be missing out on any security updates? Do I need to take care of those myself in my github image somehow?

It’s still early days, running my setup for 2 days now, so maybe there have not been any updates so far. But since this is Fedora based, I expect my regular updates rolling by, so just wondering..

uh-oh, no worries! I just found confirmation that the github picked up on updates and sudo bootc statusshows I’m in state “New deployment staged“.. Neat!
