Undervolt GPU in Bazzite?

So far, i’m having problem with getting “GreenWithEnvy” to even launch under Bazzite.

And LACT does no have settings for voltage option.

I believe the system cannot see it/i’ts locked. - I’m far from experienced at Linux. So what do you think?.

I used to use MSI Afterburner. I am to undervolt 4070 Ti > 925mv.

Thanks! Mates!. ;D

How did you install LACT?
Via the Store as Flathub or with Ujust?

ujust install-lact

I initially had the Flathub version and was unable to undervolt my RX 9070 XT with it.

I just installed using “ujust install-lact”

Still can’t see it.. :stuck_out_tongue: i don’t know man.

Hmm..

Than i can’t help you, maybe its because the “good” Nividia driver for linux?

Any other suggestions! / experiences people have with ability to undervolt Nvidia in Bazzite!, let us hear it!.

I need that undervolt, not just OC :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Have you verified that your GPU is supported by lact for undervolting? You might need to ask around on their GitHub - ilya-zlobintsev/LACT: Linux GPU Configuration And Monitoring Tool

Thought I have seen some comments saying that nvidia undervolting is not possible on the latest drivers or smth. Wish Im wrong and you find a solution tho!

As i understands it “Wayland”, cannot access Nvidia voltage settings..? And Nvidia have increased latency on Wayland - as i have come to figure.

Going to try Nobara, with X11.

No, that’s not true.

Anyone have a 9070xt working with LACT, and care to give a noob a little guidance? I have it installed but trying to enable OC isn’t working. Looked at this page Overclocking (AMD) · ilya-zlobintsev/LACT Wiki · GitHub but I’ve no idea which step to follow from there. Mostly only want to control the 9070xt fans.

yes, did you see my Post?:

I’m pretty sure you have also the Flathub version installed via Bazaar.

totow, you were correct sir! Thank you for the info. Its a shame the two install options have different results.

I’m pretty new to Linux but what i learned is Flatpak’s are containers more Isolated from the System, good for safety, not so good for software witch controls the Hardware.

Flatpaks are amazing, but the technology is still somewhat young. The end goal is for them to provide a popup, Android/iOS style, asking for permission to access something they can’t already access. So, if, let’s say, you press something that makes them request permission for a device, a popup will appear asking if you want to grant access to the device, similar to the location or camera permission prompts you get on your phone.

Give this a try on your own risk.

I’ve been using this on pop os cosmic on Wayland but haven’t tried it on Bazzite yet.

I tried that and get the error message

”error: Justfile does not contain recipe install-lact"

Just install it from the Utilities section of Bazaar, the ujust is no longer needed because LACT added rpm-ostree kargs support.

Yeah, I don’t know what was going on with it, but I tried that and it didn’t work…

Reinstalled Bazzite since and it works.
