I just installed Bazzite F41 on my Steamdeck LCD using the latest ISO. When I started it up it showed that the jupiter-controller-update service failed to start. Other than that everything worked fine.
I am also curious about one thing. Is there a plan to enable the amd-pastate-epp driver and scx-ext service in the deck version in the future? And why these two features are disabled in the current version? I am just curious.
edit: briefly tested the new upgrade, everything is so perfect, except for the problems mentioned above, I also found that the battery charging limit service will fail to start. Since I got my deck earlier this year, I have been looking for a “better steamos” (someone always wants to “tinker” their gaming system, right?), I tested nobara, cachyos, chimeraos, and even holoiso. Among all the distros I tested, bazzite is the most perfect one (I don’t know if anyone has the same problem as me, excluding the differences in performance and stability, I will give a simple example, except bazzite, the above distros all have the problem of too low system volume. At the same volume level, only bazzite can be consistent with steamos, even adjusting alsamixer can’t help. I know this is a small problem and the above distros are all excellent, but bazzite provides me with a smoother experience). It perfectly fills some of the “defects” in steamos and provides more playability. Thank you very much for the efforts of the developer team to bring us an excellent experience!
edit2:Just 2 hours after I posted this, I received the F41.20241030 stable update, and the jupiter-controller-update service startup failure has been fixed
