Hello, I’ve been having this problem too. It happens about 1 time every 1-2 weeks. I use my laptop everyday. I don’t recall the exact time it happens, but i will check the logs next time it happens.
I have an AMD Framework 16 on Aurora. So far it happened all the time when i was out of home with my laptop and i was undocked, it never happened when i was docked home.
When I’m outside of home I use a mouse/trackball (with a receiver) and a Bluetooth keyboard.
There was no correlation between a low or high workload, but i usually have a low workload (when I’m outside).
Also, I noticed that:
- the stuttering is with the mouse, the mouse position is updated maybe once every 3-5 seconds
- the Bluetooth keyboard is nearly unresponsive
- I have a KDE CPU and memory widget that are set to update once per second and during the lockups, these widgets update normally. So far I’ve never have a different content like a video running when then lockups occurs. I can only say that the refresh rate of the windows is faster than the one of the mouse position.
- if i close the lid of the laptop, the laptop will go to sleep and the screen will turn off. When i open the screen after this, it (the screen) will stay off but the laptop will continue running. I use KDE connect and I can “communicate” with the laptop, for example i can send the shutdown/reboot command.
This is my first post and English is not my mother tongue. Please let me know if i did something wrong.
