Rog Ally - no gamepad support in desktop mode

Hi,

I’ve got 1st gen Rog Ally, my gamepad is Google Stadia with bluetooth fw. I got controller issues in desktop mode, my GUI is KDE. After update to steamOS 3.7.9 my gamepad does not respond in desktop mode. In game scope and in big picture is fine. I tested my gamepad in both - steam client as well as in KDE’s settings panel. It works, is responding. Looks like desktop controling layout for my gamepad is lost. But aside that when I grab user’s layout in steam client meant for controlling desktop it does not cause any impact. I had similiar issues earlier. Last time it was enough to re-enable bluetooth kernel module. But this time this does not work. I wonder about latest steam update which could cause mess with controls because patch specific in that regard for Rog Allay was annouced some time ago and maybe this is the cause. I’m out of any ideas. Any ideas what to check anything else?

I’m a bit confused? Are you using SteamOS or Bazzite?

Of course I’m using bazzite. I mean not really steamOS but steam client if that makes any difference in that regard.

Well if there is no solution and no benefits I will switch over Valve’s official SteamOS. Why I have to took out more storage space if issues are the same and they are not resolved any quicker? In SteamOS I have to install decky and TDP plugin and that is what I care about. I can install handheld daemon as well but the choice depends from me. I do not mind any RGB light control, actualy I am happy that I can disable it altogether.
